Dr Lee Hwee Chyen is an accredited dermatologist with special interests in Paediatric Dermatology, Women’s Dermatology, Procedural Dermatology and Lasers.
She graduated from NUS and underwent specialist training in Dermatology under the national seamless training program with National Skin Centre, Singapore. Upon completion of specialist training, she was awarded the best exit candidate of her cohort at the final dermatology professional exit examination in NSC.
Prior to private practice, she served as an Associate Consultant and an integral member of the inpatient dermatology service at NSC. During this time, she was also a Visiting Consultant in the Department of Dermatology at Khoo Teck Puat Hospital.
She subsequently served as a Consultant Dermatologist in KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital where she pursued her subspecialty interests in Paediatric Dermatology, Women’s Dermatology and Procedural Dermatology. Dr Lee also served as a member of the KKH Laser Safety Committee. She is currently a visiting consultant dermatologist at SGH.
In 2019, Dr Lee underwent a fellowship in Cosmetic and Laser dermatology in Seoul, South Korea. During this fellowship, she had the opportunity to learn from leading dermatologists in both public teaching hospitals as well as private dermatology clinics across Seoul.
In 2022, she also pursued a fellowship in Paediatric dermatology and Dermatologic & Laser surgery in Madrid, Spain where she trained with leading paediatric dermatologists, paediatric plastic surgeons and laser surgeons.
She enjoys her work as a clinician and is also an advocate of public education and raising awareness on skin health and enjoys giving talks at scientific conferences, education and public forums. She has been featured on local media and has also received teaching and service awards for her contributions to dermatology education and public health service respectively. During her time with NSC she was awarded the NHG Teaching Award for Junior Doctors in 2017, and also served as a Clinical Asst. Professor with Duke-NUS Medical School and clinical lecturer with LKC School of Medicine.
